I especially like the tone I get with a double-humbucking bass with RotoSounds and using a pick with the heel of my hand muting the bottom of the strings - lots of thump. But once you tune in an EQ that matches the room you can do some nice slapping or just quick finger-picking. It gets warm after I play a show with it, but most heads do. I just bought the backline, and so far I have no problems with it. I keep a regular fan on behind it, so its fine. The only problem is that the head doesn't have a fan built in, so you gotta make sure that it stays cool. It's got that Gallien-Krueger sound for a great value.
